Fluff also posted a video this week where he states that Gibson/Mesa ended their relationship with him when he posted on Facebook that Randall was fired when it happened. Pretty crappy imo, he loved DRs and seems to have so much knowledge on them.

Watching Randall’s videos and his passion for his amps, engineering and innovation is so fascinating and at the same time kinda depressing knowing that the Mesa era has officially ended and the Gibson era has begun.

Yeah.. I wonder what Gibson gains by their actions? Nothing, actually.

It is interesting that Fluff was in that Sweetwater video on the IIc+ reissue (with Gibson's Dinesh dialing in the amp). Consider the timeline.. video published about a month ago and Gibson ended their relationship with Fluff more than four months ago. Odd. If the video was filmed well in advance, then why keep Fluff's segment?

Fluff said those videos were filmed 6 months ago. Fluff will also have a DR RI video for Sweetwater that was filmed 6 months ago.

Mesa stuff starts at 2:50

Yesterday’s video was pretty interesting going into the subject of John Marshall, even if Randall’s memory of the Metallica timeline is pretty off.

What’s more interesting is that he said the C+ reissue was his last project and that Marshall was handling the recto reissue. There’s been quite a bit of speculation about Randall and the reissues so it was interesting to hear that he was, in fact, involved in the C+RI

Here is an interesting reply he had to a question about the IIC+ RI:

Great this makes me want the VII now- I ordered the IIC+ twice now - I have my IIB with effects loop mod on its way back from Mike B - maybe I should switch to VII ?

UPDATE- cancelled IIC+ order again

I thought about the VII or the JP but in the end both are just too much amp for my needs. I wouldn’t use most of the options on them. So for the modern mark stuff I feel like the stripped down V35 suits my needs perfectly and has that base covered for me. I’ve always wanted the proper IIC thing and I don’t love that mode on my 35 and never use it, I much prefer the MIV mode. By all accounts the JP gets much closer but again, just too much amp for my needs. So I’m happy with the IIC RI and am having a lot of fun learning its quirks. I feel like I’ve only scratched the surface thus far of what it can do.
