Dumb newbie questions on fx pedals

So I finally broke down and picked up a Boss BCB60 pedal board to place my tuner, Noise Suppressor, Super Chorus, And Fulltone OCD. I hooked everything up the signal goes like this: Guitar>Boss pedal box input>tuner>Noise Suppressor>Chorus>OCD> DR input. I am not using the fx loop? Should I...

    Faceplate on a Dual Rec

I have a DR with the metal diamond plate, I just noticed the Mesa Logo plate is crooked? Looks like it was installed with the right side about 1/16" lower that the left. I know it's not the end of the world but are these replaceable? I guess I can call Mesa but I thought I would check here...

Triple Rectifier into marshall 1960 a or b cab impedance ?

Get the AV, I have 1960 Vintage straight cab with V30, a 1960 Vintage slant cabwith 2 v30 on the bottom and two G75? on top. The 1960 straight cab sounds better but my Mesa recto 4x12 slant cab just kills them both. You can pick up a used retro cab for about 500-550. I got my for $550.

    Mesa 4x12 4FB?

Absolutely correct in my opinion. I have 2 marshall 1960 vintage cabs with v30s, marshall branded v30s. I though how much difference can the cab make, I picked up a Mesa Retro slant 4x12, WOW, I wish I did this sooner, what a difference.

    Mesa 4x12 4FB?

Sounds like a Oversized Retro cab. You can tell the difference, the marshall 1960s are 30" tall the Retros are just about 33" (measured without casters).

I put the amp in stby again and look what's going on, Oh that 3 footer, that was...

help with Dual Rec settings to get better tone

Okay, progress, both on sound quality and blowing my freaking ear drums out  Switched to Diode rectifier and Bold power mode. Also followed some of the suggestions here and in the manual, much, much closer to the tone I was looking for. will running the gain at 2:30 hurt anything...

help with Dual Rec settings to get better tone

Thanks, I think that may be the issue, I heard these were touchy and a bit harder to dial in. Does the rectifier mode do anything?

Pick up a Like new Rectifier slant 4x12.

So yesterday I picked up a mesa cab that's looks almost new, 2 very small while scuffs on the bottom left side of the tolex, about 1/4x 1/8", a tiny dab of black paint, all gone. The scuffs did not mess up the tolex but the white rub marks got on the tolex and were not coming off, the paint just...

help with Dual Rec settings to get better tone

I am pretty new to the Mesa Dual Rec. I have been messing around with it a bit and can't seem to get a good thick, saturated, palm mutted rythem sound. It's sounds a bit sterile, with no thick chunk to it. I figure it's the settings? Play with a PRS SC250 and Les Pauls. Any tips...
