I too am interested in this as I've found my new JP2C to be quite buzzy compared to my Mark VII, wondering if the older model had less "fizz"; really wish my JP2C sounded like my Mark VII (in Mark IIC+ and IV modes), that thing is just the perfect balance of nice top-end and punchy lows

I feel like the JP2C is the reissue we're going to get. I mean, maybe not, I could be wrong, Gibson being who they are, cashing in on their legacy at every chance they get, I could see them doing an official reissue, w/o JPs name attrached, but I feel like that would kill sales of the JP2C...

The IIB mode can get really big, as far as bass, without really getting muddy, it's a very useful mode. Bandit, don't you have a VII though?

Could be, but I've owned 2 Badlanders, and now, have played 3 total. They all sound the same to me, very, very little bass, and gain that's just not enough for smooth leads, it has that dry, dead feeling where the lack of gain leads to a lack of sustain. It's close though, as I always say...

Totally get where you are coming from, but I run every amp through one cab, so I'm literally only commenting on the differences between the amps. Maybe a different cab would give it more bass, but if that were the case my other amps would be completely off the scales with uncontrollable amounts...

THIS I'm interested in, a 20% ish bump in bass and gain and this thing is an absolute keeper

Same cabinet for all amps, Randall R212 with V30s in it, I only have the one cabinet; I'm just not a 4x12 guy, too big for me, lol
