A Little Insight into Mesa's Thinking.

man people could argue this with the chickens and the eggs sitting on top of the amp and still no solution. you guys are leaving out tons of variables in this whole equation. guitars, cabs , technique, the users ability to understand mesa gain stages in different amps, the room its tested in ...

    Gibson Les Paul Suggestion

i play les pauls exclusively, although i do own strats , which im currently selling, the les paul is just undeniably a better sounding axe for me. although i play the dc pauls in arch top with aaa tops. i have one with rio grandes and the other burstbuckers. they are 24 fret and i wouldnt trade...

    Just wanna share......Boogafunk Cab Coming

M A P minimum advertised price. we cant advertise them cheaper ! bye bye dealership if you get caught. we can however drop the price of a cab loaded. but even dealer pricing is quite expensive. list price on the evm12l is 249, map is 195, dealer is about the same difference between those two...

    Just wanna share......Boogafunk Cab Coming

to answer two questions , the arauco is not cheap like luan, it is actually as expensive as birch. the reason we use it is because the layers are thicker, there are no voids in the material , and it is consistent density throughout. Good eye on the finish! this one is glossy. we have two ways...

    Wide body Theile.

Hmmmm.... good idea , except you might run into a problem with the speaker being behind blinders. your looking at about 4-5 inches recession, i think that might start to make the speaker directional. youd have to look at some dispersion patterns. how about this, hard styro foam! its super light...

    Wide body Theile.

all great thoughts! but in my case where i play this one gig that has 35 ft ceilings and the stage is 5 foot off the ground it gets tricky. you dont wanna beam people in the face but you dont wanna shoot the guitar over their heads per se either. mixing is a tricky thing. ultimately a guitarists...

has anyone seen these cabs on e-bay yet?

i suspect shipping would be determined on how fast you want it. there is a guy whoes built one on here as well that looks nice. you can see my post on my thoughts of the widebody in the other thread.i can build whatever is desired, however i dont wanna tie up bandwidth discussing it here as im...

    Wide body Theile.

just outa curiousity what diminsions did you use the ev spec or boogie spec? i noticed two different theories on our bracing, one suggested a poor mans joint and the other suggested braces break speaker pattern waveform distribution. IMHO boogie neglected the braceing because of a cost and time...

    Wide body Theile.

Looks great! im glad someone else has testified about the time and labor intensity of these projects. yours turned out awesome and your skills show. ill comment more later on the different sizes and one very important factor that boogie left out. Damping makes all the difference in the world!

has anyone seen these cabs on e-bay yet?

Oh and BTW " that funky pine" is actually cabinet grade 7 ply sanded. also every void has been filled in between the layers to insure consistency. That stuff actually is about the same price as birch. about 40 bucks a sheet. http://www.coxlumber.com/arauco.html check out the specs on this...
