Interesting Problem with hum in my Mini Rec in 10watt mode.

Fyi, I had the same issue you describe here. The stock el 84 that came with amp made a hum in 10w mode. I already a had JJ el-84 on the way. When I changed it to the JJs the hum went away. At a later time I put the mesa back and used them for a while and didn't care about the hum because I was...

Mini Rec vs. Rectoverb Series 2 - clean tone

oh yah, I have nothing bad to say about the mini recto. It's an extremely fun amp to play. Oh yah, it's loud. Specially in 25W modern mode.

Mini Rec vs. Rectoverb Series 2 - clean tone

It struggled to stay clean. When it did break, it was the a good break though. Smooth. I like it. :)

Mini Rec vs. Rectoverb Series 2 - clean tone

+1 as well. I agree. with the gain around 9 or 10 and the master volume dimed at 25 watt it will stay clean if you don't dig hard into the guitar. The only problem for me is that at this setting the amp could not be heard unless I turned the gain up to at least 12 o clock which then it breaks...

Mini Rec vs. Rectoverb Series 2 - clean tone

+1 At high volumes in a band with bass, drums and another guitarist with 100 watt amp, the clean channel does run out of headroom. It's still loud and can hear it, but the clean goes into breakup. No problems with any of the other modes at high volumes.

1x12 vs. 2x12 recto cab for MR

Thanks Elvis. Yah, it's a pretty big cab but I'll take that with coasters any day over my old Mark III combo. The only time that the weight bothers me is getting in and out of my SUV. Other than that, I roll that bad boy everywhere. It's much easier.

"Walked Away" (from "The Time is Magic")(MKIIb content)

That's cool Gonzo. I have a reverse delay function in my TC Flashback delay but I haven't messed with it too much. I may have to experiment a bit with it. :D

New Mini Rec. WHAT AN AMP!

Here is a track I am working on. Unlike the other tracks I posted, I recorded everything in this track. I used a Yamaha dd-55 electronic drums to trigger ezdrummer plugin in Reaper, recorded the funky rhythm tracks 2 of them for stereo effect, the leads, and used a pitch shift to emulate a bass...

Any problems with the Mini Rectifier?

I've had mine since the first shipments went out and I haven't had any technical issues. I play mine on a regular basis. The only thing that you have to watch out for is switching channels when each channel is set up with different wattage. For example, 25w on ch1 and 10w on ch2. There is a...
