I say keep the Mark. Although, Mesa did say the Deuce was designed to pair very well with a Recto. My Recto + Mark set up always puts a smile on my face :D

CJG. I got to listen to the new album. Very impressive tones!!! I assume it was done exclusively with the amps mentioned above, but we all know when we assume... :lol:. Anyways, I was wondering about the solos. Were they all done with the RKII? Just waiting for copy to come in the mail :D

The RKII is dark like the Roadster. However, you can brighten it up with the presence knob, or you can throw a EQ in the loop.

Mark III's eat those amps ALIVE... IMO. Sorry that the Roadster isn't what you thought it would be... bummer. What cab are you using? and what are your EQ settings on the Roadster and 10 band EQ?

If you love the Recto sound, the Road King is the ultimate Recto. With the RKII you will have... Better cleans. Better reverb. 2 great loops. 5 Tube options between 2 EL34 and 4 6L6. The cabinet switching is great too. Also, the RKII delivers a smoother, darker, less fizzy distortion than the 3...

Guitars-->Maxon808-->Quad-->50/50-->RK cab. Delay and chorus pedals in the loop. Yummy tones.
