    Let's talk Metal Zone

I'm sorry, but maybe Im the only one who thinks a Metal Zone sounds NOTHING like a TS-9?

    G-System?????

As far as boost I use the amps solo channel

    G-System?????

I hit the red all the time, but am not constantly in the red. I'm pretty sure that's fine. I think red was set conservatively in the design.

    Triple rectifier tone

First tune in my signature line, Peaches and Creme, is my Triple rec and a TC Electronics G system. Comments good or bad appreciated.

    G-System?????

The wah from the 1st song in my signature line on my site, Peaches and Creme, is the G's auto wah. (Gibson LP custom and a triple rec, tube screamer up front as well).

    G-System?????

I gave away my dyna comp and tremonti wah, the G blows both out of the water. Even the auto wah on the g sounds better than that one I had did.

    G-System?????

Not too clear on what you're asking. I'll describe what I do, hope it helps. My amp is 3 channels (triple rec). I have my 3 meat and potato sounds in bank 1,2, and 3 for each channel. When I step on 2, it switches the amp to the middle channel, same with 1 goes to clean and 3 goes to 3. I have...

    G-System?????

I had no noise at all with regular cables. Until I ditched my cheapo 65 dollar furman for a P1800AR. Instant buzz. One HE2 corrected it. Keep in mind, you can hook your stuff up and it'll be dead quiet. Any little change in power or location or moving a piece of gear can cause a ground problem...

    G-System?????

The ebtech HE 2 is a 2 channel unit that costs about 60 bucks, it'll eliminate hum caused by ground loops as well as automatically convert trs to ts. I have 2 of these and everything coming out of the G is trs, everything going to the amp is ts.

    G-System?????

1 quality well shielded 20', no. 4 20' cables = 80' of guitar cable, and that's not counting any other cabling going on, you'll easily be over 100' of rf soaking ground loop seeking cable. Why wouldn't you do your best to assure the least noise in your setup? Especially when the cost is minimal.

    G-System?????

Personally, I use and see a benefit in using trs cables thru ebtechs. Just because you don't have noise in the first 9 venues doesn't mean you shouldn't be protected from noise in the 10th. Nothing more amaturish that steady buzz. For the negligible cost after spending 3 grand on effects and a...

    G-System?????

The outputs on the G are TRS. If you're not mounting the brain you'll need long cable runs to the amp. Better to make those TRS and put the ebtechs on the cab and run short ts cables from there. I don't remember but I don't think there's xlr on the G.

NGD! NAD! Traded all of my Gibsons for 2 PRSi + a DC-3

Can't say any of my 8 Gibson les pauls have done me wrong, but my PRS is nice, too. To each his own. If you're happy that's all you need.
