I wonder if applying a small bit of glue from a glue gun would be a good solution for that. The glue should break off cleanly and pretty easily, when needed to.

I'm looking for feedback about the state of these two Triaxis. I got my first Triaxis, a V2 with the phat mod (the phat mod only affects L1R Red, I believe), maybe a year and a half ago. A friend shared their Triaxis presets with me, but they didn't give the same result - my sounds had way more...

I know that Mesa hasn't offered them for a long time. But maybe someone has one available, or some parts warehouse has some left over. If anyone knows where I might find one, please let me know. I wonder if one could be custom-made by someplace. I think it's basically a heavy-duty sticker.

Guess I won't be having the mod done. The service center called me today and said there isn't the room needed to install the mod.

Thanks, I sent the question in an email though I'm sure they know exactly what to do with it. I'm really hoping that none of the alterations that need to be made will affect the sound in any way.

I have a Strategy 500, which has the volume and presence knobs on the front. At least with that amp, the presence knob is a huge element of tone sculpting for me. I leave my JMP-1 presence pretty high up and really don't ever touch it. I much prefer the effect on the sound that the S-500's...

I've dropped my S-500 off for this mod at a reputable (Backline Audio, in Vancouver) authorized Mesa service center, though it won't be worked on until later this week. I've asked them to install independent power switches for the two sides of the amp, so that only the tubes for the side that's...

The S-500 has individual standby/on switches for both sides, so if only one side is used, just one cab should be needed. Ah, that explains it! I'm going to have to figure out what 4x12 I'd like to get to make full use of the amp. There's a LED meter on the front which gives real time feedback...

So I picked up a Strategy 500 in good condition with apparently pretty new tubes (less than 10 hours on them, is what the guy claimed). It also came in a 7 slot travel rack with an ADA MP-1 and rack power supply. I paid $810 for the whole thing (we split the cost of gas for me to pick it up)...

I've seen from $675 - 1200. Saw one for $1600 on Harmony Central, but that was from Jan of this year. The one I'm getting has new tubes and is included in a rack with an ADA MP-1 all for $850

If it happens that both amps come through, I'm sure I can do a hook-up :wink: But at the moment I'm just crossing my fingers that I can get one of them.

I will do! I may be taking a 6 hour drive to pick one up next Tues (and then another 6 hour drive back!). If that one falls through, I have a second option... which may or may not also come through.
