NAD, Rectoverb 50 Combo Series 1, thoughts?

try putting a patch cable between the send and return of the fx loop. it makes the amp just a little tighter and a little faster. it will make the notes seem to come out easier from the guitar where as before you kind of have to push to get them to ring out and sustain with the patch cord in the...

    Triple Rec in a rack?

the width of the actual gear that can fit into a rack is betwwen the rails is 17-3/4" the rest is rack ears it adds up to 19". the problem is that the triple rec pcb that the amp is built on is wider than that. you would have to gut the amp completely and rebuild it all by hand into a new...

Seeking tone for Pop Punk WITH BALLS

the diodes and spongy change the feel of the amp not so much the sound. imagine your amp responding slower to your pick attack for rhythm keep it bold, and diodes the master on each channel is there to balance the volume on the channels so they are the same when you switch between them output...

Problems getting pinched harmonics on duel rectifier???????

ok ok try this: bass 9:00 mids 1:00 treble 1:00 gain 12:00 or 11:00 presence depends on your cab, stand off to the side of the cab if its too much I think a darker cab might do it some good IMO

Problems getting pinched harmonics on duel rectifier???????

just looking at your settings: the high bass setting will murder your harmonics. turn off the lights when you play and twist the knobs on that channel until it sounds how you like it whatever you do don't look at those **** knobs. what you see will mess with what you hear. there must be a...

Debating on buying a Single Rectifier

http://www.myspace.com/romansidorov I recorded everything on there with a single rec. Excuse the overall sloppiness, but that should give you an idea of the sound.

    serious rectoverb question!

The el 34 setting is "pretty much" the correct bias for 6l6 tubes. Bob at eurotubes seems to think so too (thats where I got the idea from). Ive been doing it this way for a few months on my Solo 50 and its fine.

    serious rectoverb question!

try setting the bias to el34 while running 6l6 powertubes. the hotter bias makes it sound MUCH bigger and warmer.

    weak distortion single rectifier

    that is correct

    weak distortion single rectifier

I found that switching the bias switch to el34 while running 6l6 tubes makes a big difference too. It makes the whole amp sound warmer and bigger to my ears. Seems like its not damaging. Ive been running it that way for several months. It might decrease the tube life span, but it sounds much...

    weak distortion single rectifier

single rec old or new do not have spongy or bold settings the only thing on the back pannel is the fx loop to hear the amps intended sound get some stock mesa tubes in it. then you must spend A LOT of time playing with it. It took me about a year to figure out my single rec and there are...
