    Custom order LONESTAR - $950

I have a pair of 50/100 watt Lonestars, both custom orders and not being used. I would like to sell one of these amps. I'm asking $950, and local pickup only. These amps are MINT. Pictures on request. Replies via PM.

FOR SALE - Almost MINT Lonestars (2ea.) - $1000 ea. or BO

I have a pair of 50/100 watt Lonestars in almost mint condition. New tubes, very little usage, hang tags, covers and foot pedals. Both are a cream to light tan custom color and each cost over $2000 new. One amp is fitted with an original JBL D120, the other is fitted with a Weber California...

FOR SALE - Mesa Lonestar amplifiers in like new condition

I currently have a pair of first version 50/100 watt Mesa Lonestar amplifiers for sale. Both are custom covered from the factory, one has an orange frame JBL D120 in it, and the other has a Kendrick California D120 clone in it. Both are in near perfect shape with new tubes, original hang tags...

    For the fender guru's...

HAving grown up in the 60's shredded Jensens, Oxfords and CTS speakers were a way of life and I have no doubt Dick Dale blew more than one driver before going to Leo Fender, who then went to JBL for a solution.

    For the fender guru's...

Very close but let's set the record straight. Dick Dale had NO hand in the design of the D series speakers. The speakers were the result of a few great designers, but in particular Mr. Gurst. The speakers were in production already for use with sound systems of all types. It was Dick Dale and...

Clean amp to match Triple Rectifier dirty channels.

If clean is the need then I would suggest the cleanest amp on the planet, a Fender Twin Reverb (NOT evil Twin). Anything from 66 to 1975 will do the job, and the early 70's silver faced Twin Reverbs can be found for very good prices almost anywhere. 80 watts of pure headroom.

    Fender Prosonic

One of Fenders biggest mistakes and not even close to a dual rectifier. Save your money and buy a good Pro or Super Reverb depending on your needs and use the volume control on your guitar.

Stupid question for the bias mod gurus...

Dudley, The bias being set for 37ma has no bearing on the issue at all. The bias will change when you change the tubes. I just now posted some info in response to another thread you may wish to read. Regardless, any tube will work as long as you set the bias within the tubes specs when you...

Any consensus on the bias mod?

It has been a very long while since I've posted here. I hope all is well with everyone, that you all had a great Thanksgiving, and that your Lonestars are all doing fine. For the past year or so I have been involved with a number of projects and dealt with a number of family issues, so time has...

LSS POWER TUBE PROBLEMS.....RED HOT POWER TUBES

Hippdogs, This is not an uncommen problem with EL-84's and I have run into the same problem more than once myself. This leads to another issue, one with Mesa, and that being they won't talk to you unless the tubes are a matched quad, AND they are Mesa tubes. Your best bet is to buy a matched...

Recommend an Alnico Spkr for Mesa Lonestar Special

Gentlemen, Just a couple of quick notes. I haven't been very active, but I have watched the threads concerning speakers lately and want to help by clearing up a few misconceptions. Headroom. Headroom is not a design element of the speaker. Headroom is the threshhold or point above your current...

Question on to NOS or not to NOS

Rockin, Please try to keep in mind that the best preamp tubes in the world are going to be of very little help if the output tubes aren't up to the task. I read all the time about people replacing one or two tubes and then claiming there is a huge and significant change in the tone of their amp...

The search for tone may be over.

Has anyone else had the same experience as Pine?? I hope anyone who has followed this thread and purchased the Weber California is happy with the tone. If you are not I apologize for steering anyone in the wrong direction, as that is not my intent. A slight topic swerve. If you want a real...

    LSS speaker suggestions

Give this a quick look at the thread below. I would also recommend the Webber 50 watt ceramic Blue Dog for more of a British sound. http://forum.grailtone.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=30771
