Just to clarify a bit, yeah it's a custom EQ but Mesa will not say anything about it (or James' mods). It was built using a Studio preamp chassis and houses 2 5-Band EQs. 1 is always used in the active LD2 yellow triaxis and the other is for the backup triaxis.

not sure on the L6. On the unit, theres a label that says SAD but when ya listen to sad but true, there's not really anything that stands out as being different in tone. I know the Klon is used for the day that never comes. The L6 might just be another slight boost for some song/part.
