Is it me or are you tired of everyone that gets a mark v and feels the need to give us a review. The first couple of reviews were fine, but we have all studied mesa's page and manual, so we know how it works. These videos always make a couple of mistakes and misinform the audience about 1 or 2 things too. At this point, you are not informing anyone. What I would like to see is someone post a video that knows how to mic this amp properly and use a daw to record their tones, not a camera. I want to see more playing music with the mark v, because that was its intention. Bad grammar, I know.

This is part 1 of a 4 part review of the V. I don't know how accurate it is but the guy seems well intentioned. I wanted to like it but it sounds kind of bass-shy to me.

Personally I'm not too insecure about the videos because:

1.) We live in America and they can post videos if they want no matter how misinforming they may be.

2.) Still, being in America, I can choose what I want to watch on youtube.

Also, no one else's opinion matters much to me because I usually use my own ears to decide.

Sorry if I seemed like a smart ass, didn't mean to be.

IMO, The internet is full of misinformation. There are too many self appointed experts that are either ignorant or just confused. It takes some time to find out who really knows what they are talking about on these forums.

I still think it is fun for people to make a video of their MKV. I too, reserve my opinion to what I hear.

I like to watch you tube. It's usually like watching a train wreck. Sometimes I stumble upon a real good player, and I lean something new.

There is a guy playing a les paul through a Splawn Quickrod, he inspired me. But most of the Mark V clips I heard were just palm muting and basic chords. Nothing to really judge the amp. I am sure there are some good ones out there. I just have'nt really looked for them. I own one, so I am usually checking out Guitar or effect vid's.

I agree. The digital camera recording is terrible. It shows in no way how the amp sounds.

This is the worst one. Why would you tests clean channel with a metal guitar?

I wish they would watch and listen to their crappy sounding clips before the posted them. Most of them sound like they were recorded with a fukin cell phone up against the speaker in a windstorm.

It's not that it's a metal guitar, it's a ****** guitar.

I do love that he acts like higher wattage might make it less clean, rather than more. And his **** is WAY out of tune.
