SS could mean Super Sixty (60 watter?)
RG = Reverb and Graphic EQ.

Hello,
Hello,
Can you tell me how to identify the conversion Mark 2A towards Mark 2C ?

Is it a factory mods ?

Thanks,

Ludo
The preamp board should have printed on it either "SP11A", "RP10" or "RP11A". This board was used in the IIC and C+. To test for a C+ you could perform the "Loop Test" per this guide (http://forum.grailtone.com/viewtopic.php?t=18184&highlight=mark+iic),

"...The Loop Test –

1) Plug your guitar into the Effects Return jack
2) Switch to lead mode
3) Turn the Lead Drive and Gain controls with a note ringing.
4) If they have NO effect on the volume and sound you have a+."
