what year is your triple rec? chances are if it's close enough you won't hear a "huge" difference in sound.
Im not sure the year of my triple rec exactly. The guy I got it from said he thought it was from '99-'00. The serial number is R009084. What do you think? I have been planning on getting a dual anyway b/c I hate the idea of retubing that sucker and I really don't need 150w. I figure if Im going to get a dual, I might as well get one with some charachter. How unlikely will it be to find a pre500 w/ the chrome chassis?

Hey Johnson - I own an early-mid '97 Dual Rec, serial # 008525, so your TR is probably a late '97 early '98, should say so inside the chassis if you want to take a look under the hood ! :wink:

btw; Did you ever look inside your chassis to see the make year? Just curious as to how fast/slow (demand-wise) they built that year series.
