Does anyone here have a DC-10 head that they want to sell? I'm looking to buy one in excellent to mint condition. It'd also be nice if it has the 100/60 watt switch, a cover, and the footswitch. I also like the Mesa Engineering logo better than the Mesa/Boogie logo, but I'm flexible on that.

Please let me know if you have one you want to sell.

Also might be interested in a Heartbreaker or Tremoverb head as well.

Hey, bro- I can't help you at this time, but curious as to what made you want one again. I recently got lucky on ebay and scored one for $720- I paid $900 for my last one and can tell you that they are hard as hell to come by in head format.

A good option would be for you to get a combo and see if someone would want to turn their head into a combo; then you could just trade the cab for the head shell- or sell the speakers and cab and buy a head shell.

Monsta-Tone recently told me that the DC10 chassis will fit into the maverick headshell, IIRC.

   This is how rumors get started.

It will fit in a Heartbreaker shell. Probably a Nomad 100 also.

If you find a combo, I might be up for a trade. My Heartbreaker might be happier with speakers under it.

If a Heartbreaker or Tremoverb head came along at the right price, I'd be interested in one of those too.

The Mark IV seems cool, but I'm sure I'd spend more time playing with the knobs than playing my guitar.

I compared my Mark IV A with the DC-10 that I got from you.

It was really close. I found that the DC sounded warmer on the Clean channel, and the Reverb was a bit thicker.

I found that the Mark IV's distortion on the Lead channel was just a bit better than the DC-10, but the DC was right up there in terms of gain and sustain. The DC seemed a tiny bit more grainy.

In the end, I decided that I wanted to keep the DC because it was WAY easier to dial in and I had no use for R2.

I have a Heartbreaker head now that I like pretty good, but if someone has a DC-10 head that is the version with the 60/100 watt switch, I'd be all over it!
