Anyone have one in good condition? I need the compact size to use with a Thiele cab and short MKIV head. PM me please. Thanks!

Matt

Good choice! I had one a while back before I went with two thieles instead.

Good luck in your search!

BTW, I think i'm keeping the Roadster. I'm no longer bumping the FS threads - No one was biting anyway. I changed some settings around again and it sounds great! I guess I was bored with the old settings...

I have a 1x12 cab that i will be looking to sell soon. I know it is not a Thiele. It is basically brand new and I still have the hang tag (red Mesa tag). I played through it to determine it worked when I bought it, then never used it. perfect condition.

Glad to hear that you're keeping the Roadster Adam. Tweak until your heart is content !

I did find a 1x12 from another BB member GTS (George) and have to send him the cash. Out of curiousity, running two cabs, did you use the pair of 4ohm speaker connections? The reason I ask, is that I recently popped in 4 6V6 tubes to tame things a bit volume wise. However, according to Markus at MB, running two cabs in the 4 ohm jacks with the 6v6s, isn't recommended. He suggested that I buy a series box so that the amp "will see" a different, safer load. I'm still not clear why it should make a difference. :?

I'll figure something out  I also picked up a '94 era Fender Twin Reverb which is my early-mid-life-crisis amp  Actually had one all through high school and college (I'm 41 now) yadda yadda. What a sound!, but it weighs 10 tons. Nothing that a few chiropractor visits couldn't fix.

Take care of yourself!

Matt

Glad you found something! I've heard of using the 6V6's in a MIV, but never tried it. I know there are special instructions on how to operate the amp when using those tubes. TWEED power is a must. You're on your own from there though. I used the two 4ohm outs when I had the dual thiele setup as well as when I had one thiele and one open back. The open back REALLY helps out with the headroom and cleans of the MIV. You could always use the Fender Twin for cleans now though!!

I would post a thread about using 6V6's and two cabs just to be safe!

Y'know, it's not a bad idea to post something. Thanks!

Matt

P.S. The idea of carting the Twin, The Mark IV (with the Brinks road case), and a pair of cabs makes my back ache just thinking about it

Very true! That little MIV head is heavier than it appears huh? The EV loaded thiele weighs just as much. If you find an open back cab that might be your only break from the weight - unless it has an EV as well...
