Rather expensive and not top condition, what with the DIY covering and all. I dunno really, seems a lot! :?

He won't get far past the starting bid, but IIC+ amps in the UK do go for the £1000-1500 when they're available.

Dear Diary,

I spotted another contradiction today. Hawaiian birch from the Baltic Sea! It reminded me of another contradiction, Starbursts, which are solid, yet juicy...

It's not a contradiction, it's a serious line of BS or the seller is ignorant of the fact that it's stained plywood.

Amateur "restoration" really lowers the collector value. It would be worth more if it still had the tattered Tolex.

Hawaiian marine grade 7 ply Baltic birch.

more like Local Home Depot grade 7 ****** Plywood half assed stained to try and pull in a sucker

true , amateur restoration does kill the overall value BUT 1000 pounds - (which is about 1440 USD) isnt bad - hell id buy it and put it in a Brandy new head or Combo ...
it'd be nice to see more pictures of the inside , transformer,etc... the faceplate in the picture given looks a little scratched

It's the plywood Mesa used to make the shell. It's legit. More than a few people have stripped their shells of beat up tolex, sanded them down and urethaned them (or laquer, Shellac, or etc etc).
See the boogie files for an example of the "poor mans hardwood" cab refinish.

It's probably "Luan" plywood a that's what Mesa used quite often back then, definately not Baltic Birch.

lol no sense of humor... j/k
