Wiring for Mesa 2x12 cab?

I have an older Mesa 2x12 vertical and it's only got one 8ohm jack to connect.

I want to rewire this cab so that it will allow me to run in stereo AND mono.

How exactly should I wire it up so that I can do this?
I've tried to find a good schematic on this and the best I can come up with is this:

Will this work well or is there a better schematic I can use?
