..I've had my LSC 2x12 combo for about 6 years now and love it. I tend to mainly use Ch2 but set virtually clean. Chimes with the P90 neck on my Duesenberg Starplayer TV, gives a bit of grit with the bridge humbucker and can do pretty much everything else with pedals.
Anyway, I developed a hernia last year and simply can no longer cope with the LSC's prodigious weight so sadly, I'm looking to change.
Head/ cabs are rare in the UK and getting the guts rehoused in custom head and speaker cabs is prohibitively expensive, especially as I'd be worried that the tone would be different in some way.
So I wondered what other amp either in the past or present Mesa range or from another manufacturer would be the closest to the LSC, but crucially, a lot lighter?
I may go a different route altogether, but it would be interesting to hear what might be out there.
