I Picked up a "boogie" 1x12 cabinet recently. It's full closed back and does not look to be ported. It's the same size as my boogie 1x12 combo but way deeper. My guess is a rectifier cabinet. However, my brief internet research tells me that recto cabinets had a speaker in speaker out for running in parallel. That's it. The badge is a cool smokey/blacked-out color . . . oh and it sounds great. Hope this helps. Thanks in advance.

It sounds like it is a recto 1x12 like you said. not sure about the jack difference though. Are you sure there are no ports on the right side and the speaker is slightly off center? if so then it's a thiele - they have one input.

Thanks. Yeah, strange but - apparently - true. Just a single celestion 30, I believe. The writing is starting to come off the cabinet . Definitely no port and only one jack. Also smokey/gray boogie badge is the first I've seen like this. Anyway, thanks for your help. Will keep you posted. Brian

I wish I'd checked your reply before rehearsal last night (my cabinets living at the studio now) I can say that I noticed it had a nice tight grill cloth with a grey colored piping around the edge. It has leather(ette?) corners and a black covering that may be tolex but is less beefy that my late 80's combo covering. Again single jack, smoke colored/greyed out "boogie" badge. I think the serial no. is C19141 (that's from memory so "don't quote me" on that. -B

So here's one on Ebay very similar. They don't seem to know either but, other than the "boogie" badge in smoke grey, mine's like this. Right down to the single jack and grey piping. http://cgi.ebay.com/mesa-boogie-1x12-close-back-speaker-cabinet-no-rsrv_W0QQitemZ350134347786QQihZ022QQcategoryZ10171QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
