I got a shoe box full of Mesa str 440 6L6's and El 34's I am not too happy with the Mesa stock stuff because it is so plodgy and honky sounding..
I took the JJ 6L6's out of my Randall RM 100 and popped them into the Roadking and I am much happier with that sound instead of the stock Mesa's. I would like some insight into what are the best sounding tubes as a set for the Roadking? I have Mesa and Sovtec 12ax7's but they are no issue... I want some advice to what are the best rectifiers, 6L6 and EL34 tubes for the Roadking.
