What do you guys think of this MarkII? (C+ or bogus?)

The Cliff Notes
-Seller claims that amp is a IIb that was converted to a IIC+
-However, states it was only a partial mod, as the original owner prefered some charachteristics of the the IIb
-The face plate looks like a IIb
-There is no +
-low BIN price

I am leaning toward the "not a legit mod" stance...what do you guys think?

Hard to say.
For $499 I'd go for it if I needed it.

I had a 60w IIb with some mods like that (half done?) with EL-34's and an EVL. Pretty smooth cleans but power was down compared to most rude Marks. Not sure the EVL ever broke a sweat. I think I paid $750 and it was a tan 1X12 combo cab 7 - 8 years ago.

Thats interesting, I had never heard of a C+ mod that was done half way...I agree, the price is not bad
