Is that a Coliseum? The EV12L is rated at 420 Watts? Never seen one like that. Also, it seems that the outside pair of tubes are 6L6 bit the inside pair are shorter. Are all the tubes 6L6 or are the just different brands?

It may be simulclass, don't know, just didn't see any types written "simulclass"

It's actually 400watts, serial number 000055

If the pics are a little blurred I can send mail.

By the way, thanks for the posts so far :D

Look at the switch on the far right side of the rear panel. It will either be a 60/100 switch or a Simulclass/Class-A switch.

Cool! It's a simulclass!!!!!!!!!!!! I've just bought it, end will have it at home in 9 days. Nice

I would like to have old mark 1 knobs on it, where to get and will they fit?
I also consider do something with the cab. Is it recommended just to add some oil, or do you recommend to sand it down and then use oil or laquer?

All the best!

The knobs from the Mark I re-issue will NOT work with your pots.

Even if I drill the Mark 1 knobs? If I want some where to get?

Here is an excellent article about refinishing a hardwood combo, look down near the bottom of the page:

Have fun, I've got one of those old Mark IIIs but I bought it new when I was young.

Are there a link to great mk III settings on this forum?

Isn't this the amp from the guy that plays beatles cover?
If it is make sure you play a beatles song through the amp every day, it might have got addicted.
There is a sample settings in the MKIII manual, but I've always thought I need to figure that out myself, but with the tips covered in the manual it gets easier, and you'll get into the way the controls act with each other, which is very important for the Mark series amps.

Good luck, btw what is your location?

It is. Yes I will play some Beatles also :)
Found the manual from Mesas page, nice, but thought that some may have posted some settings with this tool:

http://www.chain-metal.nl/mark3/?bg=0&d1=65&p1=1&d2=70&d3=30&d4=70&d5=30&d6=50&d7=50&p=0&g1=45&g2=55&g3=60&g4=65&g5=55&t=BASIC

Anyway, the fixed/autobias mesa thing, are there a rcommended tube rating? I bought some tubes for my blankenship variplex, and Roy said I could by tubes with a special number/rating and just put them in without any bias adjustment, so I thought it may be the same with this mk3, any tuberating number for the 6L6 and El 34 's ?

Cheers!
Sveinis
