I'm building another "big rig" of Boogies - this one will be all rack (as opposed to my dual head + rack I'm using now)

I'll probably grab a 16 unit sus rack.

I've ordered up a MarkIV rackmount.

I'd like to couple that with a Dual Recto Racktifier for my dirty and pan to a really cool clean.

What else can I add?

MarkIII?

mark II, III, Subway rocket, maybe F series short head, simul satellite, recto pre, TA, Studio pre, Quad. I am pretty sure anything made in a short chassis can be rack mounted.

Yup.
The rack mount adapter will accept any Mesa chassis that's 19".
Of course with a Mark IV and a Rec, most of the others will be somewhat redundant.
Maybe a high gain amp switcher?

Anything in particular that has the cleans of a Mark (without breaking the bank?)

I pan between a clean amp and a distorted for my rig.

I'm planning on blending the MarkIV with a Dual Recto Rackmount for my dirty, and I need a decent clean.

A midi switcher would cost a lot less than another amp. Set up a clean sound on your Mark IV and set up a ground controller to switch the channel on the Mark and cut the recto out. Why buy a third amp when you don't have to? Short of that just buy another Mark IV. I'm pretty sure a Mark IV will have the clean sounds of a Mark IV.

Have you looked into the Studio pre, or the Quad? They are Mark preamps.

REALLY? I didn't know that! Cool.

So I guess an obvious question is why more people don't go with the Studio or Quad and a Power amp to get the Mark sound?? :)

The same reason more people don't go with the recto pre to get the recto sound.... heads are still top dog when it comes to amplification and tone generation IMO.

hahaha my buddy and I were testdriving Roadster combos a couple nights ago and I don't think there's enough duct tape in the world to rackmount one of those bad boys. oh god heavy.

don't underestimate the power of duct tape my friend!

btw, i think the formula pre can add another type of sound to your rig.

Nice clean and crunch. Heartbreaker inspired preamp.
