It's hard to say exactly what's used on most AIC recordings, because there are layers upon layers upon layers, and all of them compliment each other so well. I would say he used at least 3 different amps on each track on dirt.
it's also their playing styles in general, cantrell has a unique way of voicing chords and harmonies. I think it's more in the selection of notes and tones as well as the songwriting that keeps all their records sounding uniform.
I just looked back to an old guitar player mag. The amp he used most on that was a dual rec....he goes on to talk about how great the amp sounded compared to his old marshalls.
