VHT has always been right up there for me with Boogie..... i know my next amp to join my roadster will be a VHT and the specs on this SigX looks awesome.... somewhere between the ULs and the Deliverance.... they will also offer a midi switching system which is what i need in an amp..... has anyone heard it yet?

there's a post with a vid about it on the ss.org message board. it sounds really good from what i heard on the video.

was at GC today talkin to my buddy (who happens to be the manager) and their VHT rep was their so I asked him about the Sig X and basically what i got from him is that its VHTs attempt to get into the Recto/TSL?DSL market that VHT has always had a hard time getting a foot in.... not that its changing their signature tone, but the pricing will be somewhat around $2000 (maybe a little less).... tone-wise it will have a little more grit/girth than the ULs sorta like the Deliverance.... so basically it sounds to me like the signature VHT UL tone with a little more sag..... i'm actually pretty excited (and a little scared) because I've always loved the VHT sound and the Mesa sound.... I think adding a little more sag into a UL will pretty much be my ideal tone (especially priced around 2000 new)....also word is they've done some work on the cleans which was definitely why i went with my roadster over a CL

I monkeyed with a SigX at GC a few weekends ago and I just did not dig that amp at all. The pricetag was a lot for an amp that sounded.... generic ?

generic?? i dont know man... i have found nothing that sounds like the Sig X, especially with all the different tone syou can get out of it. i know VHT is either a love or hate company, but man i thought the Sig X was killer. as far as the price tag, i dont think you'll find an amp of that quality, with that much tone, all USA made outside of Mesa. Its priced right with the Roadster and considering both amps boast similar flexibility, i think its well priced.

too bad VHT production is always behind (everything is always out of stock on MF)...

dude they are so backed up right now. my friend who works at GC (knows the vht rep very well) had an issue with his UL that they needed to fix at VHT and it took them 4 months not because of the issue, but because all the bench time has been filled with trying to get out the sig x's because of how back ordered they are. alot of people dont realize but vht is still a pretty small shop (maybe 8-12 guys)
