Like the title says, I'm looking for a pair of C90 Celestions. Must be 16 ohm speakers because I need the pair to make a 8 ohm load in my 212 cab. Let me know what you have for sale.

Tip... You can wire 2 8ohm speakers to have an 8ohm total load. Download one of the Mesa Manuals from their site. The info should be there.

Really?! Do tell more, how is this done? :p

I can't tell you by memory... Go to Mesaboogie.com and download the manual for the Lonestar. I'm pretty sure I saw the diagram there. Otherwise, the Road King manual. It's basically as simple as the whole parallel vs. series deal.

I just went thru this gig; wiring 2 8ohm speakers. 2 8 ohm in series is a 16 ohm load. 2 8 ohm in parallel is a 4 ohm load. I just double checked that manual as well. You can, however, wire 4 8 ohm speakers in a "Combination of Series and Parallel" to create a total load of 8 ohms.
The manual says nothing about wiring 2 8 ohm speakers creating an 8 ohm load. 8) peace!

Yep! You are right! I dug up the manual a looked it up. Big mistake on my part. After thinking about it, it makes total sense! You need two extra 8 ohm speakers and you can do a combination of series and parallel. One pair raises the impedance and the other pair lowers it I guess, thus ending up with 8 ohms again.

See, that's why you have to take any advice you get here with a grain of salt. But, everybody learns a thing or two. Like me!

Yeah I knew (and probably a few others did as well).
I was just "heckling" (teasing) you about it :) Hope you don't mind.

I kinda figured. Hehe. WhenI saw all the little smiley, winking and laughing faces. No I don't mind.
I learn something today. :D
