VHT/Fryette Sig:X

Have any of you Mark V guys played a Sig:X? There's one in the classified section that has my attention, and all of the videos and reviews I've found a very positive. I've never played one in person, though, so I'm hoping some of you might have. What were your opinions?

My friend had one and tended to sell me cheap before.
I played and don't like it, I can't get enough gain and tightness from Sig:X.
For those VHT/Fryette amps, I prefer Deliverance or UltraLead.

The SIG:X sounds like an amp with a cold. It sounds restricted and congested. A brittle, sterile clean and a lack luster gain section.
