V-Twin Newbie

Hey there everybody, just got a V-twin rackmount and need some help with it. I am using a Mosvalve 962 power amp and i feel this unit sounds good, I was wondering though is there a way to get it sound tight. Maybe a new power amp, new tubes, any recommendations? Just trying to get a feel of what people are using with this preamp and what results they get. Thanks alot.

PS i got this as i heard the guitarist from the darkness uses one but in pedal form.

Well, my experience with this little monster was great. Be sure to use it with a midi octopus to get the most of sounds and options available in this unit. I used to pair it with a Peavey Classic 50/50 and sounded great and with a M/B 50/50 too. Its about tastes. I like both, I replaced tubes with Electro Harmonic. This rack is not tight as I think you want it to be believe me, nut you can ahieve a good crunch and decent clean sounds. You say something about the guitarrist from the darkness, well, using the pedal form in front of an amp is another history.
