I have a Rectoverb 50. I have a Studio Preamp. I feel like the Studio Preamp has some of the best clean tones I've ever heard. Is there any way I could somehow hook up the Studio Pre to the Rectoverb so that I can use it has a separate preamp for the clean tone? As in, using the Rectoverb as a power amp for the Studio Preamp... then use the Rectoverb's own preamp section for dirty tones.

Is this possible or am I just dreaming?

If I have to get into a separate power amp and everything for the Studio Pre then I probably won't bother. I want to keep things pretty simple. Just wondered if it was even a possibility.

Thanks!

If the Rectoverb has a series FX loop, just A/B the studio pre into the loop:

RV FX Send -> A/B Box Input A
Studio Pre FX Send (or Output) -> A/B Box Input B
A/B Box Output -> RV FX Return

You could get all creative and use a looper pedal to switch both the inputs and FX sends, or just send the guitar signal to both inputs (buffering the guitar would be a good idea).
