Power Tube help for Stiletto and Triple Rectos.
I am a noob when it comes to tubes.
When ordering new tubes, can I just pop them in without worrying on these two amps? As long as the person selling knows the type of amp I am putting them in?
The manual states that I can just swap the power tubes with no worrys. I just wanted to be reasured on this board.
So it is a fixed bias? So I can take a powertube from say a Stiletto and it will work on a Tripple Recto?
I have 2 mesa amps in the mail and I would like to try swapping out some tubes between the 2 to optimize the sound.
The stiletto has KT77's and tung sol preamp.
I presume I can put the KT77's in the Recto to see if I like them (as long as the selector switch is in the right mode on the back?)
Or are the fixed bias specific to the brand of mesa? :?:
