What does each tube stage do in my .50 Caliber +?
V1, V2, V3, V4, V5?
V4 uses a 12AT7 while the others use 12AX7's...
I have Tung Sol Re-issues in the 12AT7 slots (V1, V2, V3 & V5) and just bought new Mesa 6L6's STR440 (Yellow) and thought maybe I should swap out the 12AX7 in V4 (which is currently a Elextro Harmonix) for a Mesa branded 12AX7...
Which is the PI location, is that V4? I hear that is also an important in over all tone..
Would it make much difference in tone? If so what should I expect tone wise?
