So i just bought a set of JJ GZ34s and I love the way they sound. i really never liked the sound of my Mesa's with the stock mesa vacuum tubes. So now that i found a vacuum tube i like, I'm starting to use the vacuum tube setting. Anyway long stroy short, if i use a channel thats set on vacuum tubes it gets the signal so hot it clips the input of my Axe-fx which is in my fx loop. So i can reduce the input on the Axe-fx and everything is cool but if i got to a channel set to diodes i get a drop when using the same patch. So without getting itno why its giving me more headaches then that, why does the signal get so hot with vacuum tubes compaired to diodes? There is no volume difference but the signal is definitely hotter.

Wow! Never heard that one before. Use of a tube rectifier should drop the power section voltage a bit, compared to solid state. None of that should be changing your effects loop. I would say that this situation warrants a call to Mesa.

I thought it was a bit strange because when i had my tremoverb i never encountered the digital clipping when i was using the vacuum tubes (i was using a TC M300 at the time). I'll give Mesa a call and see whats up. BTW I threw the stock Mesa vacuum tubes in and it was doing the same thing.
