I just picked on up and I love it. But to be honest I agree with what was all ready said. Tone is so subjective that what I think sound full and robust will sound thin and tinny to you. I would say the major benefits of the mesa and especially if buying new is the warranty. Mesa has a great warranty and you have the ability to have them work on it. A diezel (great amps) must be serviced by someone other than the company being german, the prices are astronomical and parts are hard to get. For me it was either gonna be bogner, diezel, engl or the mesa Mark V. I went with the mark and dont regret it one bit. Its ultra versatile and the cleans alone are worth the money. Also if going used the mesa can be had at a great price. I just picked one up in really good shape (just one small dent otherwise Like New) and I paid $1620 to my door. I havent seen any diezels, bogners (real ones) or Engl powerballs in the range. I think what it comes down to is what you want. Mesa has a very distinct sound that is often imitated but never duplicated. If thats the sound you want then get the mesa. But dont settle for one. It must be what you want.
