Okay just wondering if there are any known issues regarding my triple rectifier. This has happened twice both at reasonably low volume. For a split second the amp ***** off then comes back on again like the power switch was turned on and off. The channel light go off on my foot switch and the amp goes back to channel 2 just light a power up instance. I am afraid the transformer might be failing, but was hoping its just a power tube or something easy.

its probably not a power tube. if the power tubes were the problem, then the amp would probably be turning off because of a blown fuse, but in that case, it wouldnt turn back on. it sounds like the power to the amp is getting cut off, and then restored, causing it to go back to ch 2 like its just starting up. are you using tube rectification? if so, replace the rectifier tubes. first try powering the amp up using the diode rectifier, and see if the problem persists. make sure the power cord is securely seated in the wall socket and in the amp, too.

Also, leave the amp unplugged and switch the power and standby switch back and forth a few times. Maybe one of them is corroded or damaged from use.
Probably also grab them and wiggle them around a little when the amp is turned on. Maybe it's a bad solder or so

Did you ever find a solution to the problem??? my dual rectifier turns off and on, on its own for a split second. It happens maybe 1 out of every 5 times I play it, it happens within the first few minutes of playing after that its fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated
