I bought the head a year a ago and have never had a problem(Ive played out with it 100 times. But as of a week ago after not playing for a a month or so i go to use it. It turns on but then when i hit the standby it has a quiet pop and powers down and the fuse is fried. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Bad tube. Could be a rectifier tube, could be a power tube.

Try taking the rectifier tubes out, switching to diodes, replacing the fuse and power it on again. If the fuse still blows, it's probably a power tube.

Had the same thing when I was a noob. Bad tubes.. Mother fuckers told me i needed a Transformer change-over cause i bought it in USA and got it shipped to Aus to save some money. I would have been pissed if I didnt score $300 off a matching Recto cab.
