My amp will sound really thin and seem to have extra distortion and some times switch channels by itself. I think it may be low voltage. When in my practice room i have about 122 v but when i play some gigs i notice i have 109 or so and thats when it happens. Is there something wrong with amp or will it just not run correctly at low voltage?

Low voltage will definitely affect the amp adversely...just as you've described.
