trident tube question

so i'm looking to grad a used trident or duece. keep running into flakey sellers. found one on ebay but the el34's are missmatched but in matching pairs.
From left to right the tubes are Mesa Boogie STR447, Mesa Boogie STR442, Groove Tube EL-34-M, Groove Tube EL-34-M, Mesa Boogie STR442, Mesa Boogie STR447

in your opinion would i have to retube as soon as it came in?
i've always just used matching quads in all my mesa's

It should be fine .... best if the Groove tube is rated in the 4~6 range.

+1 on that...as long as the tubes are installed symmetrically, as you describe, and are the proper bias range for the Groove Tubes, you will be fine.

I hate flakey sellers. :evil:

As long as they're matched in pairs...IE...ABCCBA, then it should be okay, as long as they're rated for Mesa amps.

To be honest though, the Stilettos are biased VERY cold...maybe colder than Rectos. The pair of Mesa EL34s that are in mine are biased at 17mA...they should be around 36 or so at 70% dissipation.
