I keep seeing posts on here about using amps at bedroom levels. This is something I have done for 40 years to completely control the volume of all of my amps. I run a cable from the send of my amp to the Input of a volume pedal (right now I am using 2 Boss FV-500H pedals. 1 to a Roadster and 1 to a Stiletto) I go from the Output of the volume pedal into the Inputs of my reverbs or delays. I then go from the output of the last delay or reverb into the return of the amp. Now when I turn the volume pedal down, it is reducing the output of the preamp stage of the amp. It doesnt change the gain structure at all it just gives complete control of the amp. By putting the reverbs and delays after the pedal, it allows the tails of the delays and verbs to repeat when you put the volume pedal in the off position. Delays decay into silence, no buzzes or hums. I also set my level so my amps average level is at 75% throw of the pedal. This allows me to give another 25% boost to solos if I need to. The boss pedals also have a dedicated tuner out so you can tune your guitar without having the signal pass through the tuner. It is split. You can even tune with the pedal in the "off" position if you want to. I hope this helps some of you!

Volume pedals are a lot of fun with delays and reverbs like you described. I do the same thing but with a Boss GT multi fx pedal.
It also has a relay to change the amp channels too.
