I ve seem a thousand posts about
Can I get rectifier tone with my triaxis ?
So here is the answer yes but you need an external graphic equalizer .
I use an Alesis midi programable equalizer.
I love how it looks.

about two months ago i went to watch a band in a pub and they were playing Mötley Crüe songs very heavily rearranged... They had only a guitarist and he was playing through a triaxis+2:90 (don't remember which other effects, but it seems to me there weren't graphic or parametric EQs...). That time i have probably listened to the greatest recto-ish tone i ever heard, really!

So what order of racks does your signal go through?

guitar - crybaby from hell - triaxis ( dbx loop ) - equalizer - xpression - 2.90.

This is a pic I made in photoshop cause I dont have a digital camera, too much money in rack stuff huahauha
But in my rack I have equalizer before xpression.
At dark stages this thing really looks cool .
I dont use xpression equalizer wich is good but a graphic equalizer is way better than a parametric .

wow dude, looks almost identical to my rig

sounds you can get out of it are amazing, dont you think?
have you tried running the EQ as Left for pre-triaxis, and the Right for post-triaxis? i figured that it would be pointless running both sides as the same EQ...

let me kno how things go

I dont use pre and post eq cause I want my signal as clearly as possible.
I dont need a pre and post eq cause my rig already gives me the sound I want.
You can also put the eq after the fx rack so you will equalize effects too .

luck

Good thinking. I'm waiting for my upgrades to arrive so I've been in 'configuration mode' for the last week :? I don't have a separate eq but if I end up using one, I'll def try that idea 8)

My parts I have to put together are:

Mesa Rectifier Studio Pre
Marshall EL100/100
Line6 Filter Pro
Roland VG88v2
Electrix Repeater
Mesa Rectifier Cab

This will fit in an 8 rack.

The other parts left over, I might create a bass rig.

Digitech 2101 Artist
Rocktron 250 Power amp.

I might be back to discuss configurations if I have no luck 8)

Stop giving me eq gas. I'm happy with my triaxis+2:90 as it is. Thank you

:p

I need new guitar+a rack case+Furman+gmajor before i can get to the eq anyway :(

hahah. I wouldn't mind the carnival if the effects in it are good enough. I'm sure I'll check out everything before I decide on anything when the time comes :)

I've heard from a few people that the FX are good. Some units have proven to be unreliable though. I'm not sure if the latest firmware (1.27) helps out. I'm interested in getting one too so I guess I'll find out.

Ciao ...

And Sombra, would you choose the Xpression over the cheaper TC rack and Lexicon MX200? The Lexicon is tempting but I've yet to hear it.

I love rocktron units,I had an intellifex for 12 years and till I sold it it was all working .
Tc make expensive equipments gmajor is made for
who cant afford them.
Cheap , ugly and like a thousand of owners said ,
very poor rotary wheels.
Go for a g force, if your budget is small xpression is the king.
Chorus in xpression is unbelievable
luck
