I see alot of topics about the Triaxis paired up the 2:90.. I have a 2:100. I like the dual recto tones. but want some Markiv soloing tones. so i am thinking of getting the Triaxis with the PHAT MOD. (i got another post asking info on the PHAT MODS).

Is the Triaxis a pair up with the 2:100? anything i should be aware of with clashes of equipment?

I guess iam more concerned with the fact i dont see much post about the Triaxis with the 2:100.

Let me know some good feedback

Thank you.

Not exactly a triaxis, but I'm pretty sure Petrucci used a IIC+ preamp into a 2:100 for the score dvd and his tone there sounds awesome.

IMO the main reason the TriAxis is usually paired with a 2:90 is because it was meant to be paired with a 2:90. The TriAxis is a great preamp, and the 2:90 is a great poweramp, but if you use them together, you get to squeeze every little drop you can out of both pieces of gear.

I'd say there's no reason why you shouldn't pair it with a 2:100 if you can.

Hell before I got my 2:90, I had the TriAxis running into my Marshall JVM's poweramp and it sounded great, pretty **** unique, unmistakeably Mesa, but with Marshall's roaring mids (that only came alive if you notched the MV up a little).
