I really thought my BBE 482 sounded ok ,but the Dynamic Voice
control did kinda the same thing.
I might go back and try it again, just for a different sound.
Wasnt that I didnt like it,just wasnt into another piece of rack gear
in the chain.
I liked running it direct, between the TriAxis and the poweramp.

been running one with my mp-1
helped that alot
i guess if i try it with my triaxis i should turn dv off?

I use an older BBE 422 between my Triaxis and 20/20. Its been in my signal path for years, because it really helps tighten up the signal (especially the low-end). I don't equate the Sonic Maximizer with an eq, such as the Dynamic Voice, because what it really does is to compensate for phase cancellation, using subtle time delays on certain frequency ranges. I do continue to use the Dynamic Voice as well, but generally at lower settings (1-4).

I know there is great controversy about using a Sonic Maximizer, but for me, having tried with and without it (at the touch of a button), it is a no-brainer. The S-M really clarifies the signal, and doesn't significantly degrade the pure tone. I definitely agree that one must not overdo it, though, and the same goes for the Dynamic Voice.

Bottom line is ... use your ears, not your preconceptions.

beware with hot spices on guitar signals. Once I met a guy on was addicted to that kind of effects, he explains me that aural exciters and maximizers are like drugs, once you prove them you will not able to play without it. He tells that he need to hear the typical maximizer sounds in all commercial hits, since Iron Maiden till Christina Aguilera.
If you play in excess with the that kind of fx your appreciation about sound will be so distorted

Like your thoughts Thom.
I did put mine back in the rack again to give it another chance.
There is that "sonic" differance and I can take some of the darkness off
of my Recto 2x12 cab.
I do belive that it can be overused (as fatboy said) so
we'll keep them knobs below 12oclock for sure.
