Topic says it all.. I've been frustrated with noise when I'm using LD2 modes. Goes away when Ld2 Drive is 0.0. I've swapped tubes around, pulled the rack apart suspecting ground hum still has the issue. Is this just inherent in the Triaxis or is something up with my unit?

Hi

What kind of noise do you heard (hiss, hum, static or else)? Did you tried to swap cables (guitar to Tri, Tri to PA, PA to cab and any in the middle)? What guitar/pups do you use? Yes, the lead control tends to make background noise increase as you increase value and the Tri is noisy specially on the LD2Y channel, not too much but enough, specially at significant volumes.

I'll try to post a clip of the noise. I would call it more of a hum than a hiss. I don't need a guitar plugged in to get the noise.

So it turns it the problem is a ground loop after all. I figured this out while I was using recording out and didn't here the problem (i.e. the power amp wasn't on). LD2 is much more sensitive to the ground loop because I can't hear it at all in the other modes. Channel 3 on the markV is the same way. If I have a ground loop I only hear it on channel 3. Seems like I can just use an iso box on the output of the Triaxis since it is line level and there are plenty of solutions for that.
