I have the gt8 and use it with my triaxis. I use it as a midi controller for the Triaxis as well as use the effects on it.
I have encountered a few problems...
1) I have to run the midi out from the gt8 to a rocktron Intelleflex then to the triaxis because for some reason the gt8 does not communicate with the mesa yet when I go from the Mesa to the gt8 it works fine...
On this same topic, I use to use a ADA midi foot controller for the triaxis, but when I went from the Triaxis midi out to the gt8 midi in, the ADA will not control the triaxis now.. ???????
2) Sometimes when I go from a preset to preset via the gt8, the preset levels drop or are completely silent. I then have to scroll through the programs manually to get the saved levels.
3) It seems like the triaxis takes forever to warm up and get to the desired tones/levels that I have stored. Now this could be the 2:90 amp but it does the same thing when I go directly to my solid state combo.
4)It is really noisy.. but I have read all the complaints regarding this issue..

I have taken it to a great repair man who gave both my triaxis and 2:90 a clean bill of health. but have not shipped it back to mesa.
If anyone can help me with any of these issues it would be greatly appreciated!!!!

I'm not familiar with the Rocktron Intelleflex and I'm not too sure of a couple of your points, but I do know how to make the GT and the Triaxis work together. I use the GT-6 as a midi controller for my Triaxis and have no problems at all. I just plugged the GT-6 MIDI out to the Triaxis MIDI in and it worked.

You should try to narrow down your problem. With the Rocktron between the GT and the Triaxis, the Rocktron "may" be trying to control the Triaxis. Try hooking up ONLY the GT and the Triaxis and see if that works; GT-8 MIDI out Triaxis MIDI In. If this works without anything else connected, then add the Triaxis MIDI Thru to the Rocktron MIDI In. If that works, you're in business.

Points:
1. If the GT-8 is sending signal to anything then it is sending signal, period; doesn't matter what it is connected to. You may want to check which midi channel your GT-8 is transmitting and receiving on, see page 80 in your GT-8 manual. If all else fails, you can reset your GT-8 to factory settings and start over, see page 90 of you manual. The default midi setting should work with the Triaxis.

2. I may not be understanding some of your post, but I think you may have tried having the GT-MIDI Out and the GT MIDI In connected at the same time - that seems kinda weird to me. Either you want the GT to be the midi controller OR you want the GT be controlled by a different controller not both.

3. Your #2, I need more explanation of that one, I'm not sure what you are trying to say. More details please.

Warm up, just have to get use to it.

Noise, if you put a volume control between the Triaxis and your amp you can volume down when you are not playing and that will get rid of any Triaxis noise you have. You can also switch to one of the Triaxis RHY channels and the noise will be gone.

If you are using the GT-8 effects with the Triaxis, I hope you are only using the pre-gain effects. The post gain effects WILL color your tone. Here is how I hook my GT up. I put the GT between the Guitar and the Triaxis input by connecting the Guitar to the GT input and then using the external send of the GT to send the signal on to the Triaxis input. By doing it that way, I can use any of the pre-gain (non time based) effects I choose in the GT and not color the tone of the Triaxis; I can also use the GT volume control. If you use the regular GT output you WILL color your tone, sure you can tweak until pigs fly, but there is truly nothing you can do about it.

I am getting really good results using my GT as a midi controller.
