Well mates the title is self-explanatory...
i'm planning to buy a triaxis for a project and a friend of mine told me that it's eq is pre-eq and not post-eq.
is it truth?
i mean if it is pre-eq do i have to buy an external eq or something to work as post-eq?
thanks

On the vintage modes, Lead 1, the treble, mid, bass, presence controls are pre gain.

On the modern modes, Lead 2, the treble, mid, bass and presence controls are post gain.

The dynamic voice, which works like the Mark series 5-band EQ is always post.

Hope that helps.

for ex. the lead1 green is pre and the lead1 red is post?
or all modes of lead1 are pre and all modes of lead2 are post?
and how about the rhythm modes?
sorry if i'm asking too many qs...

Lead 1 Red is the only one that is post-gain EQ. It recreates the Rectifier amps' tone, and those amps all have post-gain tone stacks. All the other modes are based on Mark series amps and therefore have pre-gain tone stacks. As stated before, the Dynamic Voice is basically the Mark Series 5 band EQ boiled down into one control. The manual details what each Dynamic Voice setting "looks" like on a Graphic EQ. This section is post-gain EQ for all of the modes.

I still like to fine tune my Triaxis a little bit more so I still run an 15 band EQ after it. This allows me to bump a couple of frequencies to make sure I sit in the mix of the band well.
