Ok so I love the triaxis so far but the rack mount decimator pro rack blah blah G doesn't seem to work well with it any suggestions? Either for a better noise gate that works with the triaxis or on hooking up the decimator better

It always amazes me when people say that a noise gate doesn't work well with a particular amp. There is no logical reason why this would be true, provided neither unit is faulty. You have to know how to hook them up and how to adjust a noise gate though. They don't just work right out of the box.

Can you describe (or sketch) how you have everything hooked up and how you went about setting the noise gate threshold(s)?

Also, what specifically is bothering you about the way it is working? Is there still a lot of noise? Are the notes being cut off prematurely?

Basiacally the isp is in between the in the loop and in front of the triaxis

That's it? Sorry dude, but if you can't be bothered to answer the questions I already asked (see below), I can't be bothered trying to help you. :? You're a bit too lazy about your own problem.

He's too lazy to write in complete sentences or to use punctuation. He means Dual Rectifier.

BrentSSL, the good news is that you can go and find another forum now.

Wow I am sorry I thought this was a free country oh no its not because we have pricks like you with snide snobby attitudes. Whats with almost everyone on this forum and your condescending replies to my issues. I am sorry you have nothing better to do then to piss and moan about my spelling and punctuation on some computer because you have no band to play with. That reminds me hows your world tour going with your "rig" is it satisfactory to your liking sir? Do your roadies set everything up ok? Oh thats right your not James Hetfield, Willie Adler or John Petrucci and whys that because you spend more time acting high and mighty about your "rig" then you do playing it. You know I was proud to be a Mesa owner until I joined this forum people like you seriously need to reevaluate your life if this is what you do in your spare time.

The punctuation was only mentioned because SonVolt didn't know what you meant due to missing punctuation.

I've never acted high and mighty - I took an interest in your problem and tried to help you. But you were too lazy to even describe your problem properly.

Your last post is hilarious. You don't know anything about me. And Mark series amps are "gay"... (funny that you mention Petrucci and Hetfield who have both recorded albums with the Triaxis) Do you have tantrums often?

Since you find everybody on this forum so terrible, you really should find a new forum.

As a matter of fact, he does.

I don't want to start a flame war or anything - but BrentSSL, people wouldn't call you on your **** all the time if you didn't make such immature comments.

And btw, this is almost exactly the same argument you had the last time I came across one of your threads. You just whine about how we all apparently think we're world famous and ask us about our world tour in a sarcastic tone. At least this time you didn't create two new profiles to make it seem like people were siding with you

When you're that repetitive, it just comes across as lazy :D

Thanks guys for a good laugh today.

Overall more effort was likely needed in setting up the gear and describing the problem.

So when you are setting up a rig like that do you need to add like a rack mount effects loop thats in beteween the preamp and the power amp? Or can you run it in the effects loop of the preamp? Also I am not a fan of isp their products don't seem todo what they tell me they do .

Since you asked nicely, :D run it like this:
Guitar > decimator channel 1 > any wah, compressor, or drive effects you have > Triaxis > Decimator channel 2 > any other effects you might have > power amp

I find the decimator to work the best with the threshold knobs set around noon and the filter tracking knob set around 9:00.

See i did that and i am pretty sure my decimator is faulty I may get a reborn dual and try it in the new and improved effects loop not sure yet. The triaxis and 2/90 were both from the 90's and so was a 2 channel i had and they all seemed weak as if the transformers are dying. Please keep in mind these were used mesa items either from craigslist or gutarcenter.
