I've been reading great comments on the web from people who have owned the Tremoverb. I had been planning to get a Roadking--especially since now you can get a new one for what people are selling them used for on eBay (guitar center lowered the price by $300 to $2199 and with the 15 months same as cash deal...) A Guitar Center rep said they have Mesa's blessing to clear them out at the reduced price and will not carry the RK anymore.

Anyway, I could save $1000 if I get a Tremoverb. Of course it's not as versatile as the RK--and no solo feature, but besides having trem, is there anything special about the Tremoverb that the RK lacks that might make it worth having over the RK for some people?

I wrote a long thing here, but deleted it. I think it really comes down to personal preference. I have two T-verbs, so I'm probably a little biased. The RK features are amazing - and I'm envious. Sometimes I feel my T-verbs have a little something that the RK doesn't, that maybe can't be quantified. At any rate, they work for me.

But in all honesty, to me the RK doesn't really lack anything respective to Mesa features.

In the end, for the cost of one RK I have two T-verbs. I don't think you can go wrong in either instance.
