this speaker seems a little strange to me

Something about the way the paper is glued to the back of the speaker makes me wonder, what do you all think about it? Besides it's very expensive....

Doesn't it seem to be just stuck on and not, let's say, from the factory?

Some versions of the EVM-12L have that shape to the back of them, however all the Black Shadow versions I've seen have had a flat magnet.

I'll bet it's a new Black Label with an old Black Shadow sticker on it.... Wherever that sticker came from, it wasn't put on at the factory.

Mesa /EV black shadows had a flat magnet, and the voice coild vent was not as large as that in the picture. Actually if you have an image of the C90 black shadow, very same magnet shape but vented. Also, what I remember about the MB EV BS, it did not have quick connect tabs for hookup. That could be a remanufactured speaker or one that was rebuilt.

I bet those are not Legit speakers. Someone slapped some Black Shadow stickers on some Chinese made EVMs.

The connections are wrong, those are (at best) P.A. speakers.
The cones look old and dirty.
