I was used to using Mark IV heads and Rectifier heads (single, tremoverb, road king), on my Mesa 2x12 cab. In order to save money, I was thinking of getting a V-twin preamp pedal with one of those 44 magnum pedal power amps as my "amp head" to power my sound. What do you guys think about this? Will I get it t sound anywhere close to the power and rich tone of the Marks and Rectifiers?

The main reason I would do it is to get some extra money by selling my Mark IV, and also simplify my setup so that all I need is my guitar, cabinet and pedalboard.

Thanks,

Dre

So, you're wondering if a Honda Civvic can achieve the same straight line performance as a 1967 Chevy Camaro?

The Civvic will be cheaper on gas.

It would definitely simplify your rig.. but it won't sound ANYTHING like a Rectifier or Mark.
