Hi,

I use both an FX controller and a TriAxis preamp who are then amplified by a 2:90. My FX are located between the preamp and the amp. I use several sounds which consists of one triaxis preset and a fx preset. I need to know how to wire this together in order to switch to a different program on both pieces of gear with a single switch. For example:

Sound 1 : Triaxis program location 22, FX prog location 54
Sound 2: Triaxis program location 80, FX prog location 29

Is it possible to use a single midi controller (ex: Abacus or other) to switch on both simultaneously? Like making them listening to the same channel and plugging my midi out on midi controller on midi thru (preamp) and plugging the preamp's midi out on midi in in my FX loop?

Do I need something more than a single midi controller? If so, what do I need?

Thanks!

Yes.

Buy a footcontroller that can send more than one Program Change message at once (per button push), each on a different MIDI channel.

The Digitech PMC-10 does this (out of production though). The Ground Control Pro does it, I'm pretty sure. The Behringer does not.

Or, use the MIDI program mapping function of the Triaxis. This is not very elegant, but can be made to do the job.

Thnx a lot for the reply. Can the Abacus do it? I can't find any user manual on the net for that pedal. I have the opportunity to buy one so I would appreciate to know if it can do the job.

Thanks again!

I'm not familiar with the Abacus but I use a Ground Control Pro for this.
